Principal

Throughout his career John has focused on projects within historical contexts, the majority for the National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution, and other government agencies. His work has included the preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of structures according to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards as well as the design of entirely new facilities within historically and culturally-sensitive sites. A Certified Value Methodology Associate, he frequently uses this skill set to help multi-headed clients achieve consensus.

He is an active member and supporter of the Association for Preservation Technology, National Trust for Historic Preservation, Preservation Maryland, the Society for the Advancement of Value Engineering, and AIA Baltimore. John holds both Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Environmental Science degrees from Ball State University.
